I may have the chance to pickup an EZG head. Would you guys think a 1x12 cabinet with a Celestion Gold or a Creamback be a good choice for speakers? I know the G12-65 is the stock speaker but I would think the Creamback would be really close.

I use mine with a 1x12 Gold cab and it sounds great. I still prefer it with my "old school American" voiced 2x12 cab but would not hesitate to recommend the Gold 1x12. No experience with the Creamback.

I just put a gold 12" gold in my JAZ combo, and it is AMAZING. I have run my Ray, EZG and Soldano into that speaker and it is wonderful, big, warm, full and musical. The more you play it the better it sounds. I like my EZG with the single 12 gold a lot better than the 4x10 cab I have with Z 10's in it. I bet a single 15 would be awesome too..............

I normally play it with two 1 X 12 open back cabinets, a blue and a gold. but when playing it with one cabinet i use the gold. you can't go wrong with that.

I love the creamback as a single 12" speaker. Great clean and overdriven sound. Pedals sound great through it. I´ve tried lots of single 12" with my EZG, i favor the Creamback.

I run my EZG head ( 2008 anniversary model) with a single 12" tone tubby alnico red label (50 watt) cabinet. Did run a Cel. gold for a while but to my ears the TT really has a nicer high end (slightly less chime), and more defined bottom. I do have a Z combo cabinet for the EZG as well ( it formerly housed a jazz 20/40), but much to heavy as a combo for me, well over 60 pounds
