The first run of Route 66s actually had the logo for Interstate 66 - not Route 66. The quick way to differentiate is to look at the size of the 66. If it's small it's an Interstate. Look in the Gallery and you'll see the difference between the two logos. When they updated the amp (mainly filter change I think) they put the correct logo on it. here's the link: ztalk.proboards.com/thread/11939/route-66

Interstate means road that goes thru more than one state. Intrastate mean road stays completely within one state. If you are actually talking about roadways.
