Anyone know? I'm just curious... my buddy has one, and seeing as how I never really see them pop up for sale and were discontinued I get the feeling it's on the low side....

I think once somebody has one they tend to hang onto them. If you can take the power they are a pretty amazing amp. Maybe Brent at Z has the list. I know Michael Burks has two of them. I have one, Brad Paisley has one and bigrandy here has one so there are a few of them

I've got one, and concur- they're amazing. It's almost foolproof in terms of dialing in a good tone.

No one ever posted an answer. Mine ends with 019. I always assumed that it was the 19th made. Just curious.

Not allot , I'll have to check the shipping books for the last serial number.
Yes they were sequentially numbered like all Z serial numbers.
First letter is year.
19 is the model or 19 th amp I released this is the Delta 88
and XXX is the sequential build number.

Really! That's all? Man I came so close to buying one from Fatsound. And then from Mass Street. I remember Chris saying it did a great Malcolm Young. Amazing how close I've come to buying another Z but haven't yet (besides the mini combo) I think I've "almost" bought every model.

Wow. I thought they were scarce when I was under the impressions that there were around 75. That's gotta make them among the most rare - no?

WOW! Only 34?!?!? *price went up to 7 figures I remember Chris saying it did a great Malcolm Young. And if you put some of those shorts and a tie on it, it does a pretty good Angus Young.

Wow. I thought they were scarce when I was under the impressions that there were around 75. That's gotta make them among the most rare - no? yep- and one of the other "rare" ones is the 6545. I don't think there were more than 40 of those made either, but I don't know the exact number. Then there's the Super Z- I only know of 2 of those but there might be a couple more. Then there's the KT-45 combos...

Well, I have *zero* "inside information" on this, but we all know that one of the things the Doc does to keep prices down is to buy components in mass quantities. The transformers are the heart of any tube amp. I don't think he would have ordered Delta 88 trannies in the same quantities as say, MAZ 18's, but I'll bet he's got a few of those babies around the shop somewhere He's probably got a few faceplates as well. Now all we need are a few GT KT88SV's and we're off to the races. ;D It is an *incredible* amp. If I hadn't found mine I'd be all over the one on the buy 'n' sell page.
