I keep reading the posts for the Maz 8 and it seems that everyone has something to say about the studio 1x12 blue alnico version or the head combined with some external cab. What about the standard combo 1x12 with the celestion G12H or the 2x10 combo? Anybody using those? How do they sound compared or regardless the studio version?

Wow! No one uses the other combo versions of the 8? Well maybe the Doctor should think about doing studio versions of the 18 and 38, with maybe a Celestion Gold instead of the Blue and make them lighter grab and go amps too. Looks like the smaller lighter version of this Maz is a winner!

Several of us put a MAZ18 into an aftermarket studio cab. I went with a Greenback and it's a great rig. I think it'd be a nice option to offer, but like everything else, it has to make financial sense.

Well, do you think that the fact that the maz 8 probably sold only heads and studio version combos and many of the maz 18 users, as you stated, are using aftermarket studio cabs , I assume after the maz 8 went into production , doesn't make financial sense?

I purposefully looked for a Maz 8 in a standard cab because I wanted the fullest, richest bottom end variety combo I could get. To be honest I didn't even try out a studio combo, and all the stores around me didn't have standard combos. It took some time but I finally picked one up last year and feel like I made the right choice, although it had a speaker that did the amp no justice when I got it (Seventy-80) so I sprang for a Blue and again am very happy with my choice. I was in GAS mode for a while until I got this but it will keep me good for a while.
