I'm getting my Tele-Sonic back today. So excited. I had Lollar Mini Humbuggies put in and a full setup. They said it turned out great. I'll post pics and details later.

This is how the guitar should have sounded from the beginning. Lollar makes some killer pickups! This is my first experience using them. The pickups Fender originally had in it DeArmond 2k built to their specs were crap. The guitar never fully did it for me. In some situations yes but not enough. The body is Honduran Mahogany with a slab rosewood board. The Mini-Humbuckers shine with gusto!!! I'm a happy camper. It sounds great through my Mazerati.

The DeArmonds were thin and lifeless and all over the place. The Lollars are articulate and MEAN!!! I'm going to make a video this weekend. fwiw This is how Fender should have built this guitar, it would have sold WAY better. I'm way happy with the work Tim did. He's a mad genius.

NICE!! What is that bridge? I suspect the strings move easily through it. Gotta love a Bigsby on a Tele! I'll bet it's a monstah!!

Like!! I've always lusted after a Tele Jr (Mahogany body, Set Neck, P90's), but they're as rare as 'hens teeth' over here. One day....

I'm at work now it sucks! I want to be rocking the sonic. The Lollars have me hooked. plus the setup is stupid good. Hopefully I can get to the music garage to shoot a video this weekend, show off the goods. Now I have three guitars that are a joy to play.

That's awesome. I always wanted a telesonic. They're not easy to find. Can't wait to see/hear the vid.

Sounds great! What pups were in there originally? Is the bigs by from the factory? Thanks! DeArmond 2k MIA set to Fender specs. No the Bigsby was retrofitted. I find the note definition to be far superior with the Lollars. The DeArmond neck PU was muddy, boomy and the bridge shrill. The hum canceling middle position sounded the best with them. I could see them being great jazz PU's. Here's some info I found out about the DeArmonds on the web... DeArmond pickups of the 1950s and '60s are revered and collected around the world because they reflect the era of discovery when electric guitar was experimental and new. After purchasing the DeArmond Company in 1996, Fender's Research and Development department set about determining which DeArmond pickup models could be recreated and how to make the most of these classic designs. The solution to these questions was to produce the DeArmond guitar line in which the sound of these modernized, American-made pickups are combined here classic guitar designs by Guild. DeArmond 2K Single Coil Pickup The USA-made De-Armond 2K updates the original DeArmond Model 200, which is found on some of world's most collectible vintage guitars.

Thanks! I love my Mazerati and Z Best. Both made in 2000. It's what other amps and cabs with they could be.
