I did not get a manual and there may not even be one? I know it is a pretty straight forward amp.
My question to you guys is as follows. If noon on bass and treble = full on bass and treble, should I maybe back it to say 9 o-clockish to actually be running all knobs at noon? Lots of times it is good to start an amp at all noon then move back or forth to get happy, does that apply here or would you actually need to go to around 9 oclock?
I know I can just try, just a few caveats. I am at work and I was curious about other's experiences. Also I live in an apt so I can only get it so loud and practice is once a week and performance once a week.
Thanks!

In my experience, you can definitely start at noon on this amp. As long as you keep mind what you mentioned, that past noon you'll be adding gain, then you should be fine.

My suggestion: close your eyes and let your ears be the guide

Don't have a M12, but I usually set on a stool. Armrests on chairs get in the way
Oh, wait, you ment the knobs on the amp!!!

my rig tends toward the bright side, so i usually end up with treble at about 11 and bass at about 1 FWIW.
