I'm new here been reading a lot of your post's I have a new remedy in black out on the way can't wait! I've played a Marshalls 50 watter for years and in my country band like to use a fender pro reverb for vlean work, so I'm hoping this will be a good replacement for both of them. I currently have a avatar vintage 212 open back with the G12h30 anniversary speakers how do you think that will pair up with the remedy?

The G12H is a bad speaker for the Remedy actually by itself. You could swap one of the G12H speakers for a Vintage30 or Gold which is a popular combination that Dr Z uses in his 2x12 cabinets.
The Greenback or Creamback speaker is also popular with the Remedy.

Congrats on the new your Remedy. I think you will be very pleased at how versatile it is. I haven't tried the G12H30 speaker with my Remedy, but I have that speaker in a combo amp (open back) that is a Marshall/Fender style and it sounds great. I don't have experience with two G12H30's though. If you can find a Vintage 30 to pair up with the G12H30 I think you will like it.

what is it about the G12h30 anniversary that isnt great with the remedy? would two Creambacks be the Holy Grail, or would it be better to mix them with something else? Thx.

The G12H has very strong lows and highs and the mids are scooped due to that. Pairing it with a Vintage 30 or Gold adds mids and the combination of those speakers is balanced.

Your dual G12H30 may sound great as is! Don't let others make you think you need to change. Try it with an open mind. You be the judge. Congrats on the incoming Remedy!

I used a G12H30 with The remedy for about a year when I first got my remedy. I thought it sounded great now the V30 is the worst speaker by itslef. Its sounds horrible with the remedy by itslef. I eventually went to the gold and now have the creamback. I tried two G12H30's in a Marshall 2061cx cab with the remedy and that thing rocked it was closed back too.
We all hear things differently though so to each his own. I really dont even like the V30 with the g1h230 when I had my Z-best I put two greenbacks in it. But I really never had a issue with the G12H30. I play single coil guitars fwiw..
Congrats on the remedy great choice especially for your first Z!

There have been over a half a dozen celestion speakers thrown out there in this thread so far. I think the bottom line is that the Remedy isn't very picky when it comes to speakers. Try the cab you are used to first. That will give you a good starting point. I'd get to know it before you start ordering a bunch of speakers.

I didn't see this thread until now.....and those of you who know me know what I'm about to say.....
Not only do I not like the G12H....but I think it's HORRIBLE with the Remedy. I was able to A/B/C the Remedy with a greenback/V30/G12H. (creamback wasn't out yet)
The greenback was the best. The V30 was second, but it was a very 'metal' sounding speaker. The G12H was just awful. By far a distant third. Totally unusable.
