Hi z people, Currently loving this new remedy + I still get really excited like a big kid when I plug into it. I've read all the good reviews about the EP booster and the talk of fairy dust made me laugh but I thought hey ho lets give it a go. problem is haven't got an ep booster so I dug out my mxr micro amp and I now understand what the boost fuss is all about. the fulldrive clean boost didn't do it, but the mxr absolutely brought my fingers to life, so much so that when I turned if off i wondered what had happened! is the ep better than this, well now i'll have to get one and see!

I find the EP has a tone that it imparts on your sound.....some like it, some don't. I've never played the Micro Amp, but another good boost that's pretty transparent is the Flying Dragon. I personally prefer it to the EP (I have both) for just a slight amount of boost.
Lots of choices in boost pedals out there. Just depends on what you want it to do.
Nice Rem BTW!

Awesome demo Mike of the ep, it really does sound great. I'll have to get mine back of Rich.
I actually really live the fulldrive in comp cut as a solo boost. I've been using it on gigs like that for ages.

^^ Nice playing and great sound Sam! What wah are you using?
Back to boosts! I just ordered a Time Bomb Boost from gearmanndude. I'll report how it works out once I've gigged it.

Thanks LT - it's the VOX 846HW, the hand wired one. I like it, I wanted a true bypass one but didn't want to pay as much as the McCoy ones.

ok, so its been a while since I talked about boost pedals. I have been trying out a few live and settled on what seems to be ideal for me. firstly, I have sold my maz 18. it was a sad day when it went but needs must, the brakelite went too because it was no longer needed with the mv on the remedy. I am really happy with the remedy and the tone is amazing. I bought the ep boost... well, its fantastic and is on all the time, clean or dirty it adds that magic. so I then needed a solo boost. the flying dragon was noisy, the boss lost something somewhere, but the mxr micro amp is the nuts for a solo, and they are only cheap too. with the eq bypass for a bit of grit and a carbon copy for delay that's me sorted. so at the end of the day, yes the ep boost is a must and the mxr micro amp takes a solo just that bit further and they work great together! so happy Christmas to zedlovers everywhere.... rock on..... trev
