So, I almost fell off my chair when my wife said that I should get another Z amp. That's like a bank teller, advising bank robber to rob a bank!
Currently, I got a Ghia 1x12 and a Maz Sr NR + Z-Best. Love them both. I play rock, blues... the usual stuff... no country though... (not because I don't like it).
So, Galaxie owners... What's your likes/dislikes? Tell me about the Galaxie please! ;-)

Well Paul I can tell you that I love the clean channel. It's bright, loud, crystal clean and there is plenty of head room. The second channel is loud, aggressive, and mean. The lack of a master volume is one thing I would address. I believe I read you use airbrakes anyway - correct? As you may know, I sold my Gal' after about a month with her and bought/traded to get her back after about 2 and half months without. This time around is definitely better than the first. I run her with my MazSr head into a stereo Marshall cab and I seriously have nothing that I even remotely dislike about my rig. With my recent acquisitions of Xotic pedals (BB and RC) and a new Fulltone GT500 there is very little I cannot do. The reason I bring that up is to address the fact that the Gal' loves pedals - even my Vox Tonelab. As with all of the Doc's masterpieces the Galaxie is a winner. I seriously cannot think of one thing that I could tell you about the amp that would turn you off. It's great. I am not all that great with descriptive terms or tech-talk but I will offer this: I live about 2 hours down 95 from you and would be more than happy to meet you and introduce the amp to you in person. I am not sure if anyone in your area has one (Boston Guitar) but my offer is there if you decide you want to check my Gal' out. I will be in the hospital in 10 days and then out of commission for about 8 months following this next surgery so next week would be best if we decide to hook up. Just an offer - think about it and let me know.
Bill (bilbal)
PS. Do you have any specific questions or concerns regarding the amp? That may be easier for me to help with.

Bill, More than a generous offer z-bro. Let's PM and work out the details. I'm always open to hooking up with other z-members. Also, I hope you feel better soon. Thanks z-bro!
