Maybe it was the recent thread in the Mazerati GT section by Dr Z himself .... but I find myself going back to several albums from the Steely Dan catalogue - and the one that keeps getting to the top of the list is Pretzel Logic
Several good songs and lotsa cool guitar sounds imho cheers always, eh Joel

I agree Joel, always dug that album. Funny, of all the good stuff on that album, the first tune from it that comes to my mind is East St. Louis Toodle-Oo (which I dig). I'm a big fan SD as well, especially The Royal Scam.

Agree too! I reckon I've got just about everything that SD and Donald & Walter solo have ever released. My own fav is the 'Alive in America' album....but the whole catalogue, sorry, catalog ( ) of albums is pretty darned good, IMHO etc! It's really cool that Walt is a fan of the Mazerati GT.

Big fan of Steely Dan and that is one of their better ones even though I do like them all. My personal favourite album would have to be Aja since it's the one that really introduced me to the band back when I was about 7 or 8. I picked up a fantastic pressing of it that was remastered for the 30th anniversary and it sounds so good I don't know how to describe it. Then again, even the regular pressings from the 70s sound really good.

I agree one of my favorite albums of all time. I like their first album too. Sho Biz kids has some nasty guitar riffs. When I first heard them in 1975 they had such a polished sound. They stood out from everyone else.
