I'll certainly try, but there aren't exactly an abundance of them to be had on the used market.... so we'll see what happens.

Indeed. Unfortunate, but I feel worse for the guy with the battered amp. That thing was gorgeous.

In a strange turn of events, I just received a refund notice from the seller. He sent me tracking yesterday, but the number never pulled anything up and when I called FedEx about it today, they had no record of it. The note in the refund said that the amp was dropped off @ FedEx, but never scanned. Was also dropped and damaged somehow, so I the deal is off. That sounds kinda fishy to me.....not that it matters now tho.....Sorry, Bro...sucks....

Yeh, sounds like he changed his mind or got a better offer. Whatever happened to a mans word was his bond, handshakes and integrity?
If you can be patient I am sure a used one will pop up in the next 30 days or so.

Just saw an M12 combo black/black grill loaded w/a WGS green beret for $1100 on the gear page. About page 3 on the amps/cabs emporium section.

Bummer, but might be a blessing in disguise. I'd HIGHLY recommend getting a head so you could try it out with different cabs.
Good luck! You're going to love the M12!

Man that really sucks that amp looked so cool. But I have to agree with J. Cornelius that getting a head is a good idea.

Yeah... it could be a lie — that did cross my mind — but all the same: the deal is off.
And if I could find a head, I was thinking about that and a 1x12 or 2x12, but it's all about availability right now. I can get that combo, but I'll continue to keep my eyes peeled and see if anything surfaces.
Speaking of, the guy on TGP is willing to sell it empty for $50 cheaper. If I go that way, should I just get the Green Beret? Or buy it empty and try to find a different/better speaker for it?

I've never tried the Green Beret so I can't help ya there.
If that was the only speaker option I'd buy it empty and get my speaker of choice.
Although ultimately I'd go with a 2x12. Bigger the cab, bigger the tone.

I really like Weber's speakers. WGS is great too, but I prefer the Webers. Don't worry about the tone being thin or "not big enough." I played a 1x10 M12 and we always mic'd up. No issues with the tone. I made the mistake of letting it go and now I regret it! I miss that tone and the portability of the small combo. Here is one example: I'm in the middle, playing the 1x10 M12 Combo with a Weber Silver Ten. I know I have more that really showcase the amp but I don't guess I uploaded them. Anyways, the other guitarist is using a Maz Jr 2x10 combo I believe. Dude, that tone is amazing, very Wreck like indeed!
