Which mic do you guys use to mic your ray? I currently use a sennheiser e609 but am thinking about going to a shure ksm32. Thoughts?

I like the e609's for any guitar/keyboard amp. Just my opinion.

I am using e609's on my 2x12 cab. I think it sounds great, before I had tried shure sm57 with good results but like the sleek design of the e609.

I went from a SM57 to an e609 and I really like the e609 much better, seems to have a fuller/wider tone out front.

Wow, that's interesting. Same here except I was using a SM47type mic up close. I don't even put the e609 on a stand like I did with the SM47, it's draped over the top of the amp. I'm primarily using a Z Best these days.

I use a Sennheiser e906 - I leave it to the sound person to dial it in I really like the ease of draping it over the cab and not tripping over a mic stand (yes, the 'stages' I play are that large). kc
