I absolutely love the tone I get from my EZG 50 paired with the Dr Z 4x10 cabinet! The Timmy Drive pedal is amazing and transparent for an overdrive pedal and lets that Z tone ring through!
Have any of you changed out your grill cloth? I purchased the 4x10 in salt-n-pepper and my older Dr. Z has a black grill cloth. I'm interested in possibly changing the grill cloth of the EZG 50 head.
Thanks

I have played my EZG50 through my early 80's Mesa Boogie Thiele 1-12" cabinet loaded with the original EVM 12L. Other than being slightly more focused, the tones are very close to my friend's 1966 Fender Twin Reverb.

Other than being slightly more focused, the tones are very close to my friend's 1966 Fender Twin Reverb. I think the EZG 50 paired with the Dr Z 4/10 cabinet is the perfect match! I think it sounds better than my blackface pro reverb. Great tone. How long have you had your EZG 50?
