Does anyone use a Brake Lite with the Maz 8?

Yes. BL is installed in my MAZ 8 Studio Combo. It's usually on 3 or 4 clicks when I play at home. Importantly, I am not after "bedroom" volume. It's still plenty loud as I like to have the Master set to noon or higher. Imo, the BL enhances the amp's versatility for home and studio use. I've only used the MAZ 8 once or twice for gigs; BL was set to zero/bypass.

I also have one installed for additional flexibility. I have one regular gig, in a very small venue, where it comes in handy but otherwise it hardly gets used.

Thanks. I've got one on the way from Humbucker.

I got the brakelite installed Thursday and I used it Friday night. It works great. I just need to learn to tweak it.

The trick is to dial in your tone with the BL at the highest level of attenuation and once you've found it then dial back the attenuation. If you do it the other way around the brain hears a good tone and when you dial up the attentuation it doesn't sound as good. Not sure why the brain works this way but it does! Try it - you'll be amazed how well it works.

Thanks. I took my Maz 8 to a quiet blues jam last night. I dialed in my tone on four and ended up playing on three. It was perfect for the venue.
