Go to ineargear.com and check out custom molds. Read up on the future sonics brand and how they are different. I just got the atrios custom set and they have tones more bass compared to my shure buds. Granted I only have the shure se215, but the atrios just sound more natural than the armature type in ear drivers. And I think you'd want a more natural sound if you will be mixing with them.

Also, this site sells several different brands and if you read through it enough he will give his recommendations or why he doesn't carry certain brands. I've also been able to get in touch with about any questions I had and he's usually pretty quick to respond.

I wouldn't use in ears for mixing. I wouldn't use headphones for mixing either, yes to check stuff every once in a while but not as a main reference source.
