I placed an order back in early March for a blonde Maz-8 (with Celestion Blue) and it finally arrived at Humbucker yesterday and is now on it's way! Can't wait.

My blonde Maz-8 arrived and I was going to share my impressions and a picture of it next to my EZG-50 and Deluxe Reverb but I can't seem to figure out how to insert a picture. (The insert picture option is asking for a URL)... When I drag in a picture everything hangs when I try to submit the post... Ideas welcome!

You have to post the photo to a site like Photobucket and then link to the picture. That's the URL the insert photo tool is asking for. It's pretty easy to do. Once you get a photo uploaded, you can click on it to make it the "focus" of the window. There'll be a variety of "link to this photo" options over on the right-hand side of the page. The IMG option can be copied and pasted directly into a post or you can pop the same link into the insert photo tool. As usual, this is hard to describe well without an accompanying pictorial walk-through of "how to". Photobucket is free, although you sometimes have to listen to a video ad while uploading pictures.

Thank you doctorice... You get the award for "first to respond"! I used the IMG option you suggested so let's hope a picture shows up in the post If so, you'll see the Maz-8 sitting right between my Deluxe Reverb Reissue and EZG-50 because it is getting "center" treatment right now. I received the amp on Thursday and am finally getting time to play around with it. (I asked my wife and kids to leave for the weekend so I could break in the Celestion Blue but that, of course, was not really considered).. Initial impressions are very good and I've been toying with all the settings and trying out some of the ones from the sheet that was put together and shared on this message board. (You guys rock!) I'm a strat guy and my strat has John Cruz pickups which are a bit darker. The amp seems to mesh really well with my guitar (although I've heard others say it seems to work even better with humbuckers). I will try out a few other strats and my one PRS when I get a chance this weekend. The amp offers a lot of flexibility and, with a limited amount of time on it so far, I'm finding that it sounds great without pedals and also very good with my Xotic booster. I realize I will need to tone down my pedals a bit and will begin that experimentation down the road. More to come after I get some time with it...

Thank you. Now that I have 3 amps I have discovered that my 2-way switch needs to be a 3-way switch.
BTW: I have now had the chance to put about 10 hours of playing time into the Maz-8 and am beginning to settle in on my favorite settings (for my Strat)....at least for now. They seem to align very closely to the English John Suhr Strat settings that was shared on the tone sheet (Treble: 11-12, Mid: 10:30, Bass: Max, Cut: 9'ish). I'm still toying around with the Volume and Master. Sometimes Volume higher than Master, sometimes Master higher than Volume, sometimes everything high, sometimes everything at 11, etc. Oh, and it appears I'm ending up being a Pentode guy. I really thought I would lean more towards Triode given my taste for vintage, and I spent a lot of time on Triode, but lowering the Cut with Pentode works well for me. But, I know I will continue experimenting for weeks as many of you likely already have.
