Looking for a different sound from my Maz 8. Has anyone tried the Sumback BM75, 8 ohm, 25 Watt speaker? If so, can you tell me how you liked it and how it compared to the G12H 30 or the Alnico Blue?
Thanks. Geoff

Well, I did it, I replaced the G12H30 with the Scumback BM75/8 ohm, 25 Watt..... Oh yeah!! A huge difference oozing with tone is all I can say...It was nice before but it's a monster now!

I didn't much care for the G12H30 in mine. I've been on the speaker hunt as well. I'm thinking trying a Weber or G12M greenback next.

Count me as someone who does like the G12H30 in mine, but not nearly as much as I like the Scumback M75-PVC 20w. The H30 is more hi-fi to my ear and as a more efficient speaker, will pump out more dBs before breakup.
I find Scumback M series to be incredible speakers; they have the woody and reedy mid crunch thing happening like a good Greenback but the highs are so much more articulate without loosing the smoothness. The M55 even moreso in my experience.
I used to use a 1x12 Creamback and got rid of fast after getting into the Scumback M thing.

Exactly. Been thinkin' of getting a MAZ 8 studio combo myself, and putting a Scumback S75-PVC ("Scumnico PVC") in there. Oh man, I bet that'd be nice. 'Scuse me, I gotta go scan the BS&T for a blonde combo now...

Blonde Maz 8 and Scumback Scumnico here. Liked the GH30, love the Scumnico!
