FWIW, I took the back off a Brake Lite SA and mounted it inside a Maz 38. I use an extension cab most of the time, and I liked that the SA had two outputs. I really was tired of carrying a y cord around. -At Lowes I purchased a length of aluminum strip, some rubber washers and a few wood screws. -I removed the back from the Brake Lite, made a template that measured the location of the screw holes, and made two strips to mount the unit on. I also smoothed the edges of the strips with a grinding wheel. -I attached the strips with rubber washers above and between the strips and the unit, and used the original screws. I only used four of the six mounting holes, so I installed the extra two screws in the top and bottom holes for safe keeping. -Then I mounted it in the amp. I again used rubber washers between the amp and the strips for isolation. Lastly I soldered together a 16G power cable to complete the whole assembly. Works great, and because I used the original screws and did not deface the back, I can put it back together as a SA anytime.

I dig it! Nice idea that gives you a second parallel hookup.
Great idea. Eddie

Honestly not concerned about that. Amp is eight years old. Brake Lite has been on a shelf for over a year too. Also not sure how this voids the warranty, but as I said, not really concerned.

I was gonna mount my BL, but we just shook hands. Hey Mo ! nuk nuk nuk nuk....Yes it's my meds kicking in That said; I have the SA too. That is a Great Idea. Tonight I tired the BL as per DR Zs instructions: Start out on Max #4 clicks, set amp to tast and it sounds much better. Then add less Attenuation or less clicks. I use to start out wide open and go the other way. Dah! Now I know mo betta. It worked like a charm and I have been using BL for 4 or 5 years. Who knew ? Dr Z did.
