Does anyone have any clips of the M12 with a Celestion Blue or Gold speaker? I have heard one through a Greenback and wanted to know what it sounds like with the Blue or Gold.

Don't have clips, but the gold is better than the blue. It just has more low end and I found that with the M12 it has plenty of natural brightness and needs a speaker with a good bottom. Playing with a creamback now and am really digging it. Greenback is a really nice choice for the amp as are the gold and cream back.

I would agree with judder...I have a blue loaded into an over sized cab to punch up the low end. I find myself rolling back the treble with the blue. I also have a cab with '78 Blackbacks and the M12 sounds amazing with them.

Thanks for the replies. I am sure it sounds awesome with the Blue or Gold. Boudro, I have a Blue currently in a Z 1x12 convertible cab, the lows are greatly enhanced in it.
What I am wanting is to know if there is enough sound difference between what I currently have, a Ghia and an RX Jr, running each with a Greenback or Blue, to warrant possibly selling one of those and getting the M12.

I don't own a Ghia or RX Jr but did shop the Ghia and the M12 the same day with my guitar and pedal board. For me the M12 was perfect for the following: I needed an amp that would sound rich and full at church volume and still capable of performing in louder venues; versatile with pedals; great dynamics; sound good with my current speakers - Blues and Blackbacks. The M12 nailed them all! Others I have played this amp for comment on how good it sounds. Blues and Greenbacks sound great with the amp.

Anyone considering a Blue or Gold should also take a look at the WGS Blackhawk HP. Although I've only heard the Blue and Gold with other amps, my impression is that the BH-HP is fatter, bigger and smoother. And, I DID compare the BH-HP to a good half dozen other top speaks and thought it was pretty clearly the best match with the M12. All very subjective, of course.
