Awesome Deal Dr Z! Wow now thats what I call great customer service and standing behind your loyal customers. Thats why I will always support Dr. Z amps! I planned on doing the mod Doc but I figured you would be in surgery with all these remedy amps for so long that I just orederd a new one from humbucker. I have no problem with that.
Thank you for taking care of your people who promote your amps and support your company.
You are the King of amp builders.

Dr Z, I'm sure you'll be swamped with requests. Will the mod be available on an ongoing basis for those of us who choose to wait? (My Antidote arrives today -- hooray!)

I just put a time limit on me doing the initial upgrade at the currant price. I guess with about 3 a week I will have done 60 or so domestic upgrades, I think that should cover most of the need. Z

So Doc are the New ones being shipped out to places like Humbucker Music yet? I am torn between the New remedy and the Antidote: With a Maz 18Nr and a Z wreck the Remedy should round out the herd : For awhile at least: Why did you have to build the anti-dote Thanks

Sorry if this was announced in another thread or on the site, but I could not find it.
Is this merely an option or is it standard in a new Remedy?
Would someone buying a new Remedy have to choose the option in addition to the amp price or is there not a choice?
Thanks for the great work on my 1999 Interstate Route 66 recently. Excellent!

^^^
I'm pretty sure these are not options: all new Rems have this. Option is left for those of us with the original version to have the mods done or not.

I think if you wanted the Classic Coke version, there might be some deals around when the new ones ship.

Right now Humbucker Music has the originals in stock at $1,499.00 -they are taking pre-orders for the New one with the mentioned Mods at $1,799.00. So at the Moment you can still buy one for 300.00 less without the Mods:

Just curious...
Did you all get acknowledgements of your amps arriving at Dr Z's? I sent mine on the 22nd and haven't heard anything (it's the 26th today). I know those guys are busy and I don't want to harass them. I'm not really too worried unless several of you tell me got got an e-mail acknowledging receipt right away.

They did notify me. They'll let you know. However they must be swamped as I'm awaiting a response from z-repairs. But they're the best, no worries. What does your tracking say about the status of shipment?

Got my Remedy back from the good Doctor and used it at band practice this past weekend. WOW!!! Do not hesitate to get this mod done.
Thank you Dr. Z!
FWIW, I practiced all night with my Les Paul straight into the amp....did not miss my pedals at all!!
The best amp I have ever played...period.

I wonder if the mod could possibly be done so that both the master volume engages and the eq bypasses with the footswitch. It can be tricky to get your eq and "cleaner" tone set exactly how you want it and then not have an unwanted jump in volume with eq bypass. If the master volume engaged simultaneously with the eq bypass than you could really dial that volume difference in the way you want.

It has been about a month since I had the mods done to my amp. I am really glad I did them. The master volume is great. I can set the volumes higher (noon on both) and it seems to thicken the tone up very nicely. It's really nice to be able to adjust the volume with one knob (when the drummers not looking). The bypass is really nice. I am using it as more of a clean boost. What I found is that the amount of boost depends on where you have the tone controls set. The higher you set the tone controls the less drastic the boost jump in volume is, which makes sense, sense you are bypassing the tone controls. So bottom line, it just makes the best amp ever even better.

So bottom line, it just makes the best amp ever even better. It does make this a much more versatile amp, and yes, the EQ Bypass volume bump is affected by the position of the TMB controls as they attenuate those frequency ranges, so the lower you set them, the more the remove from the signal chain, and the more comes back when they are bypassed. It makes setting the Bypass volume possible and much more versatile. Best amp I have ever owned, or played!
