Anyone set their Route up with treble full when using a les paul? It seems like I always end up with treble full and bass a little over a half despite where the volume is when I play it with my les paul.

I never had opportunity to use a Les Paul with my Route. Whether using a strat type guitar loaded with singlecoils or a dual humbucker loaded guitar my EQ settings never changed much on the Route. Every dial was on at least 3 o'clock with the treble and/or bass at 4-5 o'clock.

Yep same here....les pauls I use a bass more around 1 o clock but the treble 3 o clock to full and if I need darker tone I roll the guitar tone down....Don't know why but I feel like this amp and a les paul is the way it is meant to be! haha I know lots of others love teles with the 66 (as do I) but for plugging straight in and playing down and dirty rock n roll nothing beats a Paul into the Route! All that matters is if it sounds good to you.

From 1 to three o'clock for me. Les Paul or tele, don't seem to matter! Volume - as loud as possible usually around 8-10 and that's pushing it even on the big outdoor stages! With a few pedals it roars with my Les Paul.

I just did some recording with my route and a vintage Gibson ES355. Volume at noon, and depending on the song I either had treble/bass at 3 o'clock/3 o'clock or at full(5oclock) / 3 o'clock. Sounded amazing.

I usually have the treble around 2 o'clock and bass around 11 o'clock.
Volume is around 2 o'clock with an Air Brake on setting 2.

Sounded amazing. you guys might think I'm nuts or what a waste of a great amp, but I likewise did some recording. G&L legacy into the 66 with a Z-Best cabinet. Volume at 9 o'clock, Treble at noon, Bass at 9:30. Old school Motown vibe that was rich for days. Bell like old style tone out of those single coils. I know this is a great amp opened up, but what keeps blowing me away how wonderful it sounds down low and clean. This is one versatile puppy.

Another odd but pleasing setting I have found with the Route is volume full up, bass at 9 o clock, treble at 1 o clock and with a les paul I can roll off for some nice cleans or get some nice breakup that is kinda tweed bassmanish sounding. With the same settings with single coils it is pretty bell like and chimey but not thin, harsh, or ice-picky because of the overall smooth and dark voice of the rt66.

Sometimes it's best to play to what the guitar and amp give you. After all we are the artist using the tools.
