So far a very cool album, minus the horrendous sax of Lonnie Youngblood.

I liked a lot of it. It struck me as stronger than Valleys of Neptune, although that had some good stuff on it as well.

Somewhere is a very cool song. I had it on a boot leg CD I bought from some trucker in the 90's when I was working. This is a better mix of the song. When I first heard it I was so impressed with it and thought wow what a cool song and wished I had a better version of it. I also like Hear my train a comin its always been one of my fav songs by Jimi. The craziest thing about somehere is Jimi's prophecy on himself.
When he says ... As far as I know they may even try to wrap me in cellophane and sell me brothers help me and dont worry about lookin at the score. I really like the lyrics on this song and they fit with the times we are living in. Jimi's music is still going strong. Jimi was very spiritual. I went to the Rock and Roll hall of fame in Cleveland and it was really cool they had a shrine with a bunch of his lyrics and stuff in it. They had the original lyrics he wrote for purple haze and they said..... Purple Haze Jesus Saves. I have the Hendrix box set and there is a page in the booklet where it talks about the song and those lyrics are actually in the background on that page..

Put this song on and then follow it with Gary Clark Jr.'s When My Train Pulls In
