SO, I sold my 09' remedy cause I just didnt bond with it. To me it seemed "ALL OR NOTHING" MEANING It sounded great cranked but at med to lower volume it was missing something and the mids just didnt blossom as they did at volume, so... I bought another PLEXI Clone from another Botique builder which has been a fabulous amp. However Iam a diehard true DRZ DECIPLE and the new Modifications to the Remedy have me GASSING!!!!!! BAD!!! I will plan on Playing the new and Improved REMEDY!!!! I may even buy an older one and have it updated. Thanks DRZ for making a great amp BETTER

Well Jamie it can't hurt to try it out. Unless you really don't want to want it...then trouble is a brewin' With the master volume it sure seems usable in all venues...give us the report when you get your strings into one.

Remedy. Sometimes the first taste aint what you want or expect. But every time afterwards will help you cure your tone-sick blues. Just sayin' cheers always, Joel

I played through a Remedy recently in a local store but I liked it just in one special setting. A friend loved it in all possible mixed A&B...it's a question of taste. I ended up bying a Z-Wreck and must say that I loved the Ghia too. Try other Z's maybe...

Jamie, The EQ bypass mod is killer. It'll give you the grind you were missing.

^^^ I'm using my EP pedal for that purpose, and it does it brilliantly, but I can't wait to have the Remedy do it all by itself!

Just curious, what builder built your Plexi clone? I've heard the Metropoulos and Germinos, and they are awesome! I also think the Remedy can produce a great Plexi tone too..

I experienced the exact same thing you are describing. It just seemed a bit Flat or dark sounding compared to all the other Z's ive owned. on paper, it should be the perfect amp for me. The Z demo video with the two guys playing.. that was the sound i wanted out of it.. i just couldnt make it happen. So, i sold it and put it behind me and havent even thought about one until i heard he is doing the update. Im sure ill end up with another eventually.

^^^ Man, that is weird - not you, just your experience I find my Remedy to be the most lively amp I've ever played, and my other amp is a Z28! Did you try a new one at the time, or used? No matter - as you say, you'll probably end up with another one eventually

I do really like my Remedy, but agree that it is a little flat or "dull" sounding. I am hoping some of that may be due to the brand new Creamback's I have that are not broken in yet? Plus, I'm coming from a Stang Ray with Blue's, so it's hard to get that wonderful chime out of my head ;-)
