Ok so I haven't been very successful yet at find a good high gain RHYTHM sound with stacking OD pedals or distortion pedals. I've tried stacking different overdrives and also just tried single distortion pedals. When it comes to playing a high gain rhythm sound I feel like the tones gets too congested and compressed.
The best I've found so far is slamming my Bearfoot Honey Bee OD with a Bearfoot Sea Blue EQ, this way the tone still remains full/big but open and amp-like. Anything else just gets squashed too much. Any advice?

Was just stacking some pedals the other night , just to see ...
Tryin to remember , but I think the Plexi Drive going into the OCD (version 2) was a thing of beauty
only one combination didn't work well, and I know it was with a Butler Tube driver, don't remember if I was loading it, or it was Butler into the OCD, that compressed too much, Way too much
Friend of my just loaned me a couple of prototype Catlinbread pedals, new DLS and DLS Super Bass and an ROH They stack Really well

Spent some time with the Plexi Drive and Euphoria last evening - both work great with the M12. I love Wampler pedals - I have a Paisley Drive for my light OD tone, then the Plexi for the Marshall stuff, and now the Euphoria at the end of my drive chain that I switch between smooth and crunch. All three work very well and stack well together also. I may try a Boiling Point later this year but for now I need no other OD pedals. These three get me any drive tone I will ever need and they all sound fantasatic! I use a Line 6 M9 for my verbs and delays. Overall - by far my best live sound ever!

So I got some time in on the M12 last night. I ran the following fuzz/drive pedals in this order: Demeter Fuzzulator (didn't even turn it on) > Timmy > BB preamp > Gain Changer > Euphoria. Before going in I know that the Timmy is sticking around and so is the fuzz. So my plan goes like this: have a the Timmy up front mainly as a cleanish-chimey boost and to goose the medium drive pedals. Have two drive pedals set at mediumish settings to stack with the Timmy and with each other for crunchier stuff. I really like the Euphoria. I spent awhile tinkering between the different settings on the 3-way switch. I really liked what was available on the Crunch setting with mediumish settings. Definitely a quality pedal (and I gave up the TFR for it). I have been on the fence lately on the BB, but stacking it with the Timmy and the Gain Changer is excellent. I use the BB to boost the treble and bass a bit, gain at noon and volume around 11a (there is a lot of boost just with the eq). It sounds great on its own, I rediscovered. The Gain Changer is exactly what I have been after in a drive/higher gain pedal. I like how the GC, like the BB, offers a lot of string definition. I really dig both sides - the unLimiTeD and LTD SR, and I can easily dial in the EQ switch, tone, and gain. The pedal is so easy and sounds great. The magic is the BB stacked with the GC. That is what I am after, and I honestly don't really miss the OCD that I sold recently. So I am going to move the Euphoria, as much as I want to hang on to it. Maybe one day I'll start a second board, but I want to settle into my first one.

Well I finally found a distortion pedal that works awesome with it, and a stackable pair that sounds great too.
I just pulled the trigger on a Bearfoot Emerald Green Distortion and its amazing and works great, full review coming soon.

Sorry for the noob question, but why stack ODs? I have an OCD and cannot imagine how much more gain / drive you might need over that alone.
Is it a way to have two different tones (individually) available?

What you said is the reason why I do it. I like medium gain tones for most parts, but when I need to thicken up I stack two medium gain pedals.

I am running Metal Zone>Maxon OD>Small Fry>OCD>Flashback and must say the M12 loves the Small Fry. Using the MZ for stacking with the OCD and Small Fry and offers some amazing solo tone. Read where Warren Hayes used one of these years back and must say they work great when you put the gain at about 9:00 and stack with your fav overdrive pedal. Anyone used a plextortion or Pinnacle with this amp?

The Pinnacle sounds great with the M12. Wampler Sovereign into the Pinnacle is real nice as well. Or EP Booster -> Pinnacle.

Has anyone tried the Rockett Animal or Cmatmod Brownie...love how they sound with a Fender but not sure how they would do with the M12.

I have both the Animal & the Brownie. Both sound excellent with the M12. Running the Brownie @18v. With an EP Booster in front.

With an EP Booster in front. I think that's the key to keeping the front end of the amp from boggin down with saturation...... I always run a clean boost with my M12 ( and almost all of the other amps was well).

Hey Gents, Thanks for the feedback. Really interested in trying the Animal, Brownie and Pinnacle with this amp. My OCD vs4 doesn't have the meat on the top end even when I throw a clean boost in front. Any sound clips of these pedals with the M12?

Lovepedal OD11, always on just a touch of gain going into an OCD v4. Very open with almost no unwanted compression.

I put the Gain Changer back on the board, after my fuzzes before my KoT. I tried this: Unlimited side with the gain way up... sounded phenomenal! I backed the gain down to a little after noon, and then I kicked the KoT on at a lower/medium gain setting... sounded phenomenal! Abandoned - I'm really interested in checking out the Emerald from BFE, but I'm in no rush. The setup above seems to work very well to my ears. Now I'm trying to figure out where my Klone fits in the mix. Why are pedals so much fun? David

David Keep your GC and order a EGDM from Prymaxe with a 2-Month Return Policy and compare them both back to back... Then decide lemme know your thoughts.

I returned the EGDM not cuz I didn't like it. But cuz I needed other stuff more. I changed the settings on the egdm often. M12 settings: HI Input V-10:00, B-2:00, T- 11:00

I tested a lot of pedals with the M12, for a nice thick crunch nothing beat the Weehbo Morbid Drive for me.

Latest and greatest of my dirt section. .. Skreddy Lunar Module > EP Booster > JHS Klone > KoT > GC in unlimited mode. Since I've had the dirt section in this order I've been looking at less and less OD and fuzz online. For a lot of gain I like the EP kicked on into a low gain setting on the Klone into the high gain side of the KoT with the volume and gain up... it's a beautiful thing. ;D

I run a Mesa Flux Drive into an Xotic SL Drive right now and those two together have TONS of gain. The SL Drive has a lot of gain to begin with and the Flux drive just adds a little more dirt and fatness. I thought about getting the Mesa Throttle Box, but I get more satisfaction from stacking and the flexibility of turning each off and on is a plus.

The JHS Klon was pretty nce. It boosted the lower mids. I preferred it boosting other drives as opposed to pushing the amp, especially since I run the delays and stuff in front of the M12. It was nice but I had no problems selling it when prices spiked on the Bay. I do love my Arc Effects Big Green Pi so I'm interested to see what you think about his Klone.
