Hey Just bought a secondhand blond Route 66 top with a Z extension speaker cabinet (1x12) loaded with a white weber speaker unit (type P12Z). The seller told that it is an 8-ohm unit. The speaker is not equipped with a bell-cover but has Z-placard on the rear of the magnet. Does anybody out there know the wattage of this speaker-type (25w or 50w or???) and which weber speaker is equivalent to my speaker today (12A150B???). Is it possible to retrofit a bell-cover on this speaker??? By the way; it sounds great!!!

The P12Z is the original Alnico Silver Bell. Like BentTop said, Ted can help with anything you need to know.

Yes, Ted got the answers...and J you were right about the speaker type...Alnico Silver Bell. I gave Ted the s/n and he replied quickly; 8 ohms and 30 watts... By the way, is there any problem running this speaker with a nearly full cranked Route 66 (32 W) Do I risk blowing the speaker off or am I safe??
