Just wondering... I have a newly acquired Maz 18Jr NR head and a Maz 38 Studio Lead head. I've been a combo guy for MANY years and started using a 1x12 extension a couple years ago to fatten up my Mesa, Rivera, and Budda. Now that those are out the door and I have the Zs, I have a pair of 1x12 8 ohm cabs I'm using, a ported blonde Nau and a Fender Roc Pro (I think... Metal grill...) with a pair of "parallel" 1/4" jacks. I've been jacking into the Fender and using the second jack to connect the Nau and running the shebang out of the 4 ohm jack on the Z. Is this correct, or does the "parallel" refer to being able to run both cabs from the 8 ohm jack? And how much damage will running them improperly out of the wrong jack do? Thanks!

I can never remember which is which, either, so, Google to the rescue! Two 8 ohm speakers wired in parallel produce a 4 ohm load. Here's something that surprised me... Two 8 ohm speakers wired in series produce a 16 ohm load. Go figure... www.rocketroberts.com/techart/spk_wire.htm

Thanks a lot. The Dr said as much, but I hadn't said anything to him about the parallel labeling...
