I used to play my Z amps through a dual ported, sealed back, Vintage 30 loaded 1x12 cab. A few months ago I decided to try one of the Z 2x10 cabs & I'm very glad that I bought the Z 2x10. The Z 2x10 cab sounds HUGE. Tight lows, smooth mids & highs that are never harsh. I play mostly rock and this cab works extremely well for me. It's really an amazing cab & I know you'll enjoy it.

stoneham11, Just personal preference. You can't go wrong. Just curious, are you playing a Z amp? The twelve has more low end and the tens have more sparkle. Both sound great. Listen to the sound in your head. Is there a Z dealer in your area where you can play through both? Are there forum members in your area that you could meet with to help you decide?

I thought the 2-10 Z cab had a great midrange. I was surprised because my old Fender tweed amps with 10s always seem thin in the mids. I'm talking low to mid mids. My old amps have P-10rs of course which is a pretty thin sounding speaker.

No I am not playing through a Z amp yet I'm going to buy a maz jr. with my tax returns and also one of the two cabs as of right now I'm unfortunately playing through a Flextone III with a 1X12 in it. The 1X12 is fine but i've heard great things about the Dr. Z 10's and I think I'm going to give them a try. The closest dealer is an hour and a half away I would like to go try them out but just haven't gotten to it.
