Anybody try this combo opinions?I have a rati and ghia and zbestv30 h30 cab but want something lighter (trutone pine 2x10 cab)more grinder with the ghia definitly open back also warmer at high volumes (compression , also do you think the volume well be tamed a bit like the greenback effect ,not sure the effeciencey of these speakers thanks

I really love the tone of the alnico Blue Pup/Silver 10 combination and had it in my MAZ Jr for a while. But, what I didn't like about it was that I lost some headroom vs. the stock Z speakers. Had I gone with the ceramic versions, I don't think I would have lost the headroom like with the alnicos. And the 30 watt alnicos were still pretty loud...... And yes, the tone was quite warm & clear... I'd describe it as "pretty." Not brittle at all. I'd think the alnico 10's would sound great with the Ghia, albeit mainly for lower volume gigs and recording.

Yep, exactly. Light dope, and 30 watt versions. Great sounding speakers, and would probably be a match made in Heaven with your Ghia...
