ok so i think im gonna swap out my v30 for a greenback in my z best....ive never changed a speaker before, and im sure its pretty easy, but before i go ahead and do this i just wanted to know if the speakers have that little slip on connector, or do i have to soder?

mine has the slip on connector (2003 zbeast)let me know how that sounds Ive been thinking about this for awhile my zbest with v30 h30 can get beamy in a harsh way and I'm wondering if the v30 is the culprit and if the green well smooth out the harshness

Just be carefull....the back panel on the Z-Best can be purty hard to get off the 1st time...& when it comes off there isn't a whole lot of "pull off" room as the speaker wire conected to the panel isn't very long...

Just be carefull....the back panel on the Z-Best can be purty hard to get off the 1st time...& when it comes off there isn't a whole lot of "pull off" room as the speaker wire conected to the panel isn't very long... thanks zane for the reminder I had to remove that back panel off when I,first got the zbest (defective speaker voice coil I think)and your right I was surprised at how tight it was and there isnt a lot of play with the cable ,the good thing about the tightness is for vibrations ,I dont know how many times I've pick up on some weird frequency ,something vibrating in the studio (usually a music stand or something leaning against something)but if its abaffle or cabinet that sucks I've had zero such problems with the zbest

In my Zbest there is a dab of locktite placed by DrZ on the speaker mount screws to prevent vibration if they were to work loose....It helps, especially if you are swapping back and forth. I also would recommend picking up additional wood screws since todays Philips screws have a tendency to strip with repeated use and can be a pain to remove...
