So I go over to GC to see a friend that works there but he isn't working today. I say hello to a few people and check out the used gear section as I always do. My eyes are always looking for the "Z".
Well, I see this amp and it caught my eye, no "Z" but it says prescription ES...holy cow...I had to check it out. I played it and it is soooo loud and very clean sounding...I bargain with them I bit, not much room to play with but I told them if they took care of tax and supply a foot pedal that I would buy it....sure enough, I pulled out my CC and did it. brought it home and introduced him/it to the rest of the Z fam. I have to get me a "Z" Logo for the front. apparently this one fell off. The best part is that wife was ok with it going to organize my area a bit this weekend...just wanted to put the amp up there tonight. By the way, with the volume low and the air brake on "bedroom" level it was still "loud" for bedroom..........I love it

It's a great amp! Is yours a 1X12? What kind of speaker? I have a Scumback greenback-type speaker in mine, and with this speaker, it's really not overly loud. It's just about right for band volume actually -- clean to gain-y at the flick of my volume knob.
GuitarZ: They say you should be on the same page about kids before you get married. I really think you ought to talk about expectations on outdoor Christmas/Holiday lights. That could have been a game changer.

GuitarZ: Arggh! We had it on the calendar to stop out and see you but got caught up with holiday stuff. I could have met you & Frank & my wife could have connected with her friend from back in grade school. You snooze you lose. The FB videos sound great!

GuitarZ: Why is it once you finally clean the junk off your work bench, within 5 minutes, you find yourself ready to deposit some other junk right back on to that now clean space?

rossco: the variable e.q bypass is great because while bypassed it you get the raw sound of the amp without the e.q and everything else attenuating the signal which sounds great and a because its variable on the foot switch you can dial in to taste, 1/2 way I like

rossco: you don't have to fully bypass the tone stack which is great because gives you room to dial in your sound, it certainly thickens up the sound and adds nice growl/midrange growl. I don't like pedals so this replaces everything for me

easyed: It seems that the only time I clean off my workbench is when I need the space for something else. If I don't take a break, it's less than 5 minutes before that space is full again.
