I am looking into switching out the G12H & G12M speakers that I have in my 2x12 closed back cabinet that I am using with my Dr Z 6545. I love the tone but the low end gets pretty boomy. I was looking at the Weber 12" Alnico Thames (60W) speaker. I was wondering if anyone out there has tried these speakers before. According to Weber these are replacement speakers for Hiwatt Fanes and are "Loud, British bright and chimey, aggressive, punchy, compressed/fattened at higher volumes". Sounds like just what I am looking for but would like to know if anyone has used these with a KT-45, SRZ-65 or 6545. Thanks.
