I dig the StangRay. also by no mistake love the StingRay as Im lucky in a round about way to have the only single 12" made out of the original 50. It came to me with a weber blue dog, that was too flabby and broke up early. Ive had it with the standard Gold. a little bright as I don't use attenuators and can't fully open her up. So, I'm a big fan of the Two-Rock signature series cabs, and more importantly....their speakers. They come with their own Eminence 65 and 65B designed speakers somewhere between an Eminence Tonespotter and Red White and Blue. Ive been using them with my Shadowamplification.com amp. Sean is a good friend of mine, and was looking for the perfect cab for my needs. For my Rays' I picked up a pro cables "Y" splitter to start adding color and an extra cab for my pedal steel player on the far side of the stage......One day, in the studio, unplugged the gold, and just listened to the Two Rock by itself. So, I've come to this. Never ever heard of people suggesting these speakers for the Good Dr's amps on this site. You owe to yourself to check this out. I know tone is a very finicky journey to chase, and it's very subjective. Just remember this in the back of your memory tool box if and when you ever get a chance to experiment. I hit the nail with this speaker in my Ray. In my Ghia, Ive never found a more perfect speaker than the stock Z cones that come with. Tomorrow I'll throw another T.R. in with a blue in my 2x12. Take it easy

I'd love to hear it. What else do you have to say about its sound?

Well played around with my 2x12 yesterday and pulled one blue, and added the T.R. 65 B. It was good but couldn't help but take it further and added a 65 as well. So, now it's a 2x12 with a Two Rock 65, and 65B. I thought my 1x12 was amazing with the 65B alone....My band now is freakin on this combo after two rehearsals. At first my brain was arguing with my ears. "This isn't a country sounding rig...blah blah blah nonsense"... I had my good bud and monster country shredder Jim come by who btw, loved my two rock cabs. He's one of those sick players that flat out makes you hate yourself after he playes for 5 minutes. Toured with Mr Cash, Scaggs and , well you get it. After he put this rig through its paces for 25-30 minutes, there wasn't a single note that didn't sound amazing: country, rock, .....jazz....and the man has a discerning ear This amp is one of the all time greats. I threw some amperex bugle boys in the preamps, JJ for the EL84's, and a Chinese Shuguang rectifier. I'll also just finish by saying....I also completely dig my Carmen Ghia 2x10 with the original 2x10 ceramic Z's. Once they open up....also a thing of beauty(with the right tubes)

Interesting speaker choices. I like what I reading. I'll past what I have from my recent post on the other Ray speaker thread.
For speakers, different stokes for different folks. The latest speakers I've been using are a single G12-65 and sometimes add in a Weber Blue Dog 50w alnico for a 2x12 set up. I run the Ray's volume around 1:00 - 2:00, use low efficiency speakers and an airbrake set to one or two clicks in. I've been playing more dance club type rock (classic and modern) these days and like the ceramic punch.
