The re-amping complete. Almost all Z! Now I have some new amps to use the Z-Verb with. The best part is the wife isn't mad at me.

The zverb makes everything sound better!! I am very glad I got mine before the price increase, but I would have paid the extra.

Do you notice any volume drop when using the Zverb vs going straight in to the amp? Just asking because when I watched the Z Fest video for its release the Doc mentioned it a little, but I couldn't tell from the audio....so interested in your ears on it.
Thanks

I have never did any kind of comparison, but I can tell you that I usually do not adjust my amp volume when I use it verse not using it. It does color the tone slightly (depending on your weather you are going full on **** Dale or just adding a touch of wetness.) It seems a to add a touch of warmth and smoothness, very subtle. I will have to do a more thorough comparison and get back to you.

Cool. I'll look forward to your thoughts. I just got ( in a trade ) a JULE Santa Cruz outboard reverb...it DOES SEEM to lower the volume of my Ghia when in front...So I'm looking into a loop switch type pedal to take it out of the line if I am not using it....but I love my Ghia more every day and sooo I can't help but think, " Self ...why didn't you just wait to get a Zverb? " I have no answer for self...but I do like the unit I've got....but what if? Any how - looking forward to your thoughts.

I finally had some time to compare the volume of the no zverb verses zverb. The heavier your reverb setting the more noticeable the perceived drop in volume. I really couldn't tell a difference when I had a light reverb. When I turned up the mix and or the dwell there was the slightest drop in volume, but it might be how your ears perceive it. What I mean to say the with heavier/deeper settings you notice really notice the lush reverb. It seems that the dry volume drops when I think it just gets lost(not the best adjective) in the mix.

Good description I think. I've had a little more time with mine and feel similar ... but straight into the ghia is just a little more responsive. How we hear something is for sure in the mix of things...sometimes it just seems quieter or louder - either way outboard reverb is cool.
