I was watching the Eagles Farewell I or II or whatever it was tour on DVD ... anyway, Joe had a blond Prescription ES in the background. Man! Is he ever a good player, and his tone was excellent as well. I saw him this last summer with the James Gang in their old stomping grounds Akron-Cleveland Ohio, and he is such a great player watching him play live. He's got a great sense of humor too. He was more Marshally for that show, but I guess he was going after that old school James Gang tone.

JW is absolutely one of my all time faves..I've seen him 12 - 14 times since 1972..NEVER been disappointed..Such a tastey player, and a tone monster..Glad to hear he's added a "Z" to his arsenal..
In fact, I just got the "So What" cd again yesterday to replace one that went missing..Killa!!

There is an old SRZ floating around Doc built for Joe, etc.

Whippersnappers. The way I heard it, if my grey matter hasn't failed me, Doc sent Joe a Ghia, he recorded w/ it and loved it, and said 'Can ya make me a hunnerd watt one?' Doc said, 'No, BUT...'--Thus was born the Mazerati.

Turned 51 last yr........'Aint been a pup for at least 6 months......HAHAHA Speakin' of JW, and, on a sadder note....Burying my momma tomorrow...Part of the music score is gonna be "Song For Emma" from "So What".........Yep, it came in the mail today for those of you who saw my last JW post.... Joe has been a part of the "soundtrack to my life" for what seems like 2 lifetimes...I just felt like he needed to be included..One of my gitter playin' heroes fo sho.. If I could think of a ZEP tune that would be appropriate, Page would be in there 2...Maybe "Goin' to California" ?? Mom loved Rock 'n Roll... Oh well....... Thx in advance for the thoughts...We've got something special here guys...Lots of KILLLER guitar players, and just damn good peeps in general. Anyway, if you're not familiar with that JW tune, PLEASE scope it out. Made me weep on 8-Track when I WAS a pup, and didn't know Sh*t from Shinola.....Not sure I know the diff now...What exactly IS shinola anyway?? I knew the first time I heard this tune in 1974, it would come around again. Just had NO idea it would be 33 yrs later. Watched the Eagles Farewell (2,3,4 ??) from Melbourne tonight..Saw the Prescription. Also, a Carvin California Carved Top.....Gots to get me one of those.. Peace.....Eat A Peach.... T rock..

Tony, very sorry to hear about your mom. Lost mine in '99 an' things just ain't been the same around here since. You're a good son for designing a fitting musical tribute.

Our thoughts are with you here as well Tony. My Mom is 80...be 81 in April. We had a scare back in October but she's fine, lost "Pop" in '92 and like Bud..things will never be the same.
God Bless, Curt

Saw him 2 years ago with the Eagles in Abq and then before that by himself in Santa Fe NM. Both times he was outstanding. And you're right, he does have a great sense of humor and he can play. If you are into it pick up the DVD called Joe Walsh. Shows some set-up tips on guitars and some slide tricks and also some of the licks he plays. You can get it at any music store.
