It was great man... It's not very often you get to see Gov't Mule, Allman's, & the Crowes in one day. It's the only place you see rednecks and hippies have a good 'ol time together...

Now that I think of it, the first Z I saw live on stage was probably David Bazan's of "Pedro the Lion." He played a Gibson SG through either a Ghia or a Mazerati head over a 1x12 or 2x12 cab. Love that sound. Seeing that show of theirs at the Cat's Cradle in Carrboro, NC last year is why I started doing my Z homework in the first place.

Ever heard of a band named "Liquid Groove Mojo"? Joe Pitts and Darrell Davis both use Dr Z amps (Maz 18, 38 and R/X), heavily into the blues rock stuff like Mule and Crowes. Joe was the cat that turned blues man Michael Burks onto Dr Z's stuff. Catch them around the mid south, (word has it, nationally in 06) they are definately worth checking out, and have great tones. Nice guys too. I caught them in Ft Smith Arkansas a month or so back. They have a website, www.liquidgroovemojo.com. They had nothing but GREAT things to say about Z's, and for that referrall and the great tones they were getting, i got my Carmen Ghia.

I consider myself to be a rock player, with roots in the blues. My Maz 38 is the best things that has ever happened to my sound (after countless high gain Mesas and Marshalls). Rock, blues, alternative, whatever I feel like playing, my Maz is justing waiting for me to bring it on -Greg
