Here's a cover of Kid Charlemagne I did a week or so ago. The backing track is from guitarbackingtrack.comClams? Sure. One take because I'm lazy? You betcha. Do I like parts of it? Yes. Do I know the Carlton solo? Uh, no, not really. C major, right? ;D Eastman t186 through Ghia. Solos have both sides of the KoT on. Blue Sky Reverb on small room setting. Mic'd with a Blue Snowball USB mic. Yes, I know. Do I love the sound? Eh. Like the solo tone, rhythm, not so much. www.adrive.com/public/3qyGYG/Kid%20Charlemagne%201.m4a

Hey, thanks, Pete. If nothing else, I had fun doing it. Still not happy with my recorded tone, vs. what I hear in the room while playing. Certainly the USB mic isn't helping things on that front. I'm looking to upgrade my mic/recording interface in the next month or so, hopefully that will help.
Funny thing is, I played that for the folks in my band (kind of grungy garage rock stuff) and they said "cool, but don't play that crap with us".
Ha!
