So I'm looking around and keeping my eyes open for a used Maz 8. What are they going for these days? They don't pop up too often, but seem to only be $100-200 less than the Maz 18 which I find hard to believe.
Any help would be great. I might be able to swing for a new one, but I'd have to save for a few more months for sure.

They can be more than an 18, given a couple factors: - They are relatively new so not many on the market
- The early 8s come with a more-expensive Blue speaker
- The 18 may not have the EQ bypass that is std on the 8
I paid more for my Maz8 than my 18.

^^^
Couple other possible factors: (1) the 8 has the effects loop; that was an extra-cost option on older MAZ 18 Jr reverb models and (2) MAZ 8 only comes in reverb version; on the 18 and 38 that's $250 more than the NR versions. The MAZ 8 head is $150 more than the 18 NR head on Z's price sheet.

I paid a couple of hundred more for my Maz 8 than my 18jr nr. The 18 was a few years old when I bought it, the 8 had 14 hours on it.
As stated above, more options, similar builds.

Can't really compare the 8 and 18 for price points. I've been trying to sell my mint Maz 8 head for over a month at 1100 now and no one will bite. That's 500 of a new one. Seems fair to me, but exactly everyone who is intersted says they can get an 18 for cheaper and has been offering 900. Time will tell I guess ...

Sadly i think the 18 has better resale potential since it is more gig -worthy.

I think you are right on that one ... that and the cheaper price defiantly make it an easier sell. I still love mine but the EZG gets all the play time.
