Hey guys I now have the money for a new amp the local music store still has the DR Z Jaz 20/40 and I was told by the owner $1600.00 out the door includes Tax. The amp is used with a 1X12 is that a good price. Then I got a price on a Top Hat King Royal Head and 2X12 Cab $1580.00 but I can't play thru the Top Hat. That amp is also used. Then I saw another DR Z Maz 38SR with Reverb $1499.00 with 2X10 local and that one is used but Mint. Those are the amps that I'm looking at wife said this is it for amps that's fine. For guitar I have a Fender American Standard Telecaster but I might trade that one for the Fender American Deluxe Telecaster with the S1 that guitar is also used and the color is (Aged Cherry Sunburst) with a Maple neck. I do like the DR Z because I can play thru them. Any Ideas thanks in advance.

I had a Maz Sr 1x12 combo. I traded it for a JAZ combo that is now a 2x10. The JAZ is more versatile than the Sr for what I play. It does the clean Blackface Fender thing better and seems to like my OD pedals a little more. I like the reverb on the JAZ better and it has a great tremolo too. I liked the JAZ with 1-12" but I think it works better with the tens. I've had several other musicians comment on how good it sounds and mixes with the band.
I can't speak about the Top Hat. I've never played one. Personally, I would never buy an amp or guitar that I couldn't try out. When auditioning amps I always use MY main guitar because the amp/guitar combination is important.
One thing about the JAZ to consider is it tends to redplate any 6V6 other than the stock JJ's. Fortunately they are pretty cheap and available and seem to last a long time.

Have you tried out the JAZ yet? Seems a good price.
I use mine mainly for "rock 'n' roll party" gigs that need to cover 50s/60s rock, R&B, soul, and even some newer material. I'm generally using a Tele or a Strat for these gigs. Perfect amp for this material, but not limited to such material either.
Have to say I wasn't immediately blown away by the sound when I got mine, but as I grew familiar with it, I liked it more and more. It gets a lot of play time.

Well, this post is in the JAZ section, so.... The JAZ is nice. It has a lot of fender flavor in it but the EQ section is based on the Maz amps. I use the JAZ as a pedal platform and the pedals I have work great with it. Also, what has not been mentioned yet is the half-power mode on the JAZ, which is very handy IMO. The Maz doesn't have that and I don't think the TopHat does either. Plus the built in tremolo and reverb are superb on the JAZ. The JAZ and MAZ are different amps all together so it really depends on what you want out of the amp to start with.
