After a total of 10 playing hrs, my z-verb died.
Submitted a support claim, but I will likely mess around today.
My 0.5 fuse has blown. Seemed to pop after turning the unit on. The NOS 12AT7 looks like there are burn marks at the base of the tube and on the pins, but the socket looks fine. Is this characteristic of a NOS tube? I will pick up a few new fuses today and have a pile of 12AX7 to replace the AT.
Hopefully there's no damage to the transformer or choke.
Any recommendations would be appreciated.
I haven't ruled out wife sabotage.

Did you ever get this resolved? I've never had a problem with my Z-Verb.

I tried troubleshooting hoping it was a tube issue, but couldn't get past the fuse blowing every time. I submitted a claim to Dr.Z and it looks like the Verb needs to see the Doctor.

My ZVerb has been absolutely unreliable. Just came back from the factory with a clean bill of health and it worked for all of 10 minutes. WTF!

Pardon me if I am a little suspicious but such a negative post without any background about whether it was new,or used when you got it, what the problem was, what the Z factory did to it and what happened again sounds just a little off. If you're a new poster here it would help us make a better assessment about your issue - whatever it might be.

Bought used off Ebay. Worked great for a while and sounded amazing. Then the reverb intensity faded out to nothing.
Bought a new set of tubes. Worked for a bit and then nothing again. Tried a different RCA cable, tried different guitar cables and even bought a whole new set of tubes thinking I may have got a dud tube in the set. The problem was intermittent and sometimes the unit would work great for an hour, then die or the effect would weaken.
All the while I emailed Don several times trying to troubleshoot it. Don sent me a MOD tank and while it worked I hated the decay.
Put the old tank in and it worked great for a bit... Finally sent it in to Don to get it looked over. Don had it for a month and said it acted funny when they first plugged in, but has worked and sounded great since they replaced the RCA cable.
I get it the other day and it works for all of 10 minutes before the reverb intensity dies out and I have to crank all the controls to 10 to get a mild to medium decay effect, whereas before the unit would be a huge wash of reverb.
I apologize for being short with my earlier post, but I just spent over $100 getting it to Don and back, only to have the same issues I had before it was given a clean bill of health!

Sounds like the tank got damaged in return shipping. Do you still have the MOD tank and does it work?

It's back at Dr Z's. Returned the MOD tank along with the ZVerb when I had it repaired the first time around.

Have had my Z-Verb back for a while now and it's working flawlessly and sounding better than ever. A very big Thank You to Don and crew!

Glad it worked out for you in the end. I really enjoy my Z-verb. Very warm and organic reverb.

My issue was resolved rather quickly, had to send it to the Dr for a checkup. Now there is a small squeal when I go to the max and min tone settings, but it's probably because I have the verb sitting on top of the zwreck head.
