Got my amp from Todd today. BTW, this guy is great to deal with, very communicative, and ships well-packed! Funny how the 8 sounds similar but not quite like the 18 - it has its own voice. From what I'd read on these forums, I questioned whether I'd like the Blue; I like a bit more bass. But no, this is a definite upgrade from the 70th Anniversary G12H30! I was comparing to my '69 Princeton Reverb, as I was starting to wonder if I was ok with just using that. Hard to compare...love the trmolo on the PR, but can buy a pedal for that. Quite a difference between the 10" of the PR and the 12" of the 8. The wife was listning while I was comparing and said she thought the 8 had more presence. Hmmm, good ear. Anyway, a side bonus is that the 8 fits on my Atlas Spider amp stand perfectly! And looks great to boot. ;D ;D

Congrats. The 8 is a great amp. I was a little lukewarm at first, but now Some of it was getting the Blue well broken in.
