Okay - so just what I need another Z (why not). My question is how is the volume of the Galaxie for the typical 50 to 80 person bar gig?
I currently use my Airbrake on 3 or 4 for some of our venues with the Z28 (and Maz Jr of our other guitar player) using a Greenback. At some of our venues I am able to set the Airbrake at 1 or 0; but not often.
Is the Galaxie too loud for these smaller venues in Triode mode? I would probably be running it through my 2x10 Z cab.

JD I just played at this place in Nashville called the fooBAR & it was fine. My friend who books the place was asking, ok man your not going to be too LOUD. I had the vol. on 9 at first, then it went up as people liked us. If you have a AIRBRAKE your set. the Z amps are voiced in a way that does not hurt your ears. I don't know how. I've played with drummers who don't mind when my amps are turned up like all the way. Small room w/ AIRBREAK should be fine.
P.S. I play it in Triode mode

Blackice,
My parents live in Oxford,MS! I am over frequently as I work for my father's privately owned business!I use to be a regular at Martin's Music in Memphis! Eric has the best selection of Taylor,Larrivee and PRS guitars probably in the Southeast United States!
I know you have been in Martin's Music before! I am enjoying the "HECK" out of my Galaxie 1X12 combo and am really happy with the "AIRBRAKE" as it just works like a "CHAMP" in taming the "GAL"! ;D
Have to give you a holler sometimes when I am in MEMHPIS!

Hey GIBBYMY335 I'll be playing The Buccaneer Oct. 19th, in memphis. It will be my band, this great Memphis band THE Joint Chiefs & Reeves Gabrels from TIN MACHINE, playing with his band Reeves Gabrels & His Imaginary Friends. The cover will be $5. You can hear my band on My Space link below. I think Reeves might be playing a Mazerati Head that night. I'm not sure but theirs a chance.

Hey blackice,
Their is a good chance that I will be down in Oxford for next weekend! I have a buddy of mine that plays in 2 bands that have been playing in Memphis and Southaven that would probably hook up with me to come see your band!
Where in Memphis is the bar located? Is the bar an older or newer bar for what would be considered a newer or more current bar in Memphis!
