Okay, things at church have change a bit, for the better of course, we are going to an in ear monitor system which means I can move my amp off stage. In the past I've run my combo amps with an extension speaker and been happy with the results but I am thinking about selling my combo studio 12 and go with a head instead. Its smaller and when I do travel I can use my very killer sounding 2x12 cab for bigger places.
thoughts?

You'll never catch up to Mike's Z collection (museum) if you keep selling gear... ;D
What speakers do you have in the 2 12? Do you like playing the Maz with it now?

I don't think I'll even have the $$'s to keep up with Mike's amp collection! lol
Its going to be one amp at a time for me for a while.
I tried out the Maz 8 with my 2x12 and really liked it, that is why I am thinking going to head may work out well for me. The 2x12 has G1265's in it. The sound great, they are speakers I have had since I was a teenager back in the 80's!

I have been considering a G1265 style speaker for my mini-maz studio combo.

mine sounded real great, don't get me wrong, the blue sounds great, but when I plugged it into the 2x12 with the G12's wow, it might just be that I've those speaker so long and they are so familular to me that they always sound great to my ears. I know that cab sounded amazing with the Antidote when I had it here Todd

Will you still have a grab 'n' go amp if you sell the SC, Todd? Do you need one?

Hey Mike, I would lose my grab and go ability to some degree. I have 2 cabs though, a 1x12 and a 2x12. I can leave one at church and the other for home, rehearsal or gigging so I may not be in too bad of shape. I just am not in a spot to have more than one amp right now. No complaints though, I am thrilled to have what I have!

Todd, should you decide to sell, give me a shout - I might be interested. I've a got a potential buyer for my Maz18, so I could be in the market.
