Hello from germany, some days ago I got my first Dr.Z amp: The Monza 2012 version. Really awesome sounding amp!!! I have a question about cabinets. But first let me tell you my rig: Of course the monza allone sounds fantastic with my mini Marshall full stack (two 4x10 1965a+b cabinets/Celestion G10L35)). The monza sounds fantastic too with my Marshall 4x12 (loaded with two Rola Celestion blackbacks from`77 and two Scumback`s H 75`s). But my favourite sound is: Monza and Marshall 2061x head on my little full stack. Connected with the Lehle Little Dual and working together (bi-amping). My Les Paul R8 loaded with Kloppmann HB `59 Andy Powell Custom beef humbucker and using my Baldringer Dual-Drive Pre-amp/Distortion pedal. Never, really never I heard such an big fat huge sound! The question: I am thinking about to replace the 4x12 cabinet with the Dr.Z best cab. I read several times, this cab is smaller, not so heavyweight and sounds like an good 4x12 cabinet. Any experience with the monza and the best cab together? Hoping for an answer and greetings.....

unless you play on a huge stage in las vegas , or outside in a large venue, you can not go wrong with, yes, i will say it, the little 1/10 combo that dr z makes, with the eminence spkr. seriously. huge tone. or a single cab with a celestion gold 12 or something like that. dont know why you need pedals with this amp, but i am old school i guess. cheers. i use mine with an inefficient weber ceramic and have played it outdoors. way way loud

^^^^^^ Agreed! I play mine outside with a Dr. Z 1 x 12 Convertible cab with grade speaker (Chinese-made Celestion G12H30) and it's a heart stopper. Lots of volume. Lots of ooomph!!!!
