Well I got my Route back because the guitar I got in trade didn't work out. I immediately posted it up for sale again without playing it...but then it happened...
After a month or so of playing nothing but my Line 6 when I plugged into the Route it was like a breathe of fresh air! Its just pure, good tone and there isn't a bad setting (read, no constant tweaking). I tried running the HD500 into it again and all the effects just sounded flat out better.
The Line 6 has worn out its welcome. Its a good setup, but there is just something missing that the Route has...some kind of delicious mojo that makes me want to play more. I've been in a funk the last few weeks and the Route single handedly pulled me out.
Im SOOOOO glad it didn't sell...its meant to be after all.
Now I'm going to trade my Line 6 gear for some real pedals...its a good thing I didn't lose any money in this little experiment (or very little anyway).

I haven't tinkered with the Route 66 much since I got it due to the great weather and all. However, there's a long cold winter coming up, so it will get some attention then for sure ! Keith

Glad this is working out for you - and really glad that the Route 66 is your home for tone. Very cool.

Been there, done that albeit with a Z28 - no more digital anything on my chain. Just a superb Z amp or two, and some well chosen quality pedals. I have never sounded, or played, better! Welcome back to sanity ;D

Ya I don't know how I almost got rid of it. Im really enjoying playing a lot more with the Route. I just traded in my Line 6 gear for a pedalboard again and of course the Route loves them all!

I miss my Route. I knew I would. She's special. Then again I miss my Maz 38 also. They are all special.
