Wondering what you guys thought vs the CG? Sort of both what im looking for, but i like the M12 is meant to be pedal friendly, as well as a little quieter. I run my amp on the edge of breakup, and really overall volume is not a huge issue.
Also i was wondering which speaker config you guys prefer? Im between 1x12 and 2x10. My Z28 is 2x10 and the description of it as "princetony" makes me excited and thinks i should get 1x12.
What do you guys think?

I have both the ghia & the m12. i love the ghia but can only play at 9:00 in bars, just b4 the sweet spot at 11:00 - but with the m12 vol is around 2:00 & the tubes are right in that sweet spot . i use 1x10 & 1x12 & both alnicos & they both sound great. - if you like 2x10 cab - you will like it with the m12 ! It is by far my favorite amp - have fun searchin for your tone.

Im just somewhat curious as to if the M12 in combo format shines a little more in one format more than another more so. im not opposed to having to combos with 2x10s in it. I got 2x10s in my Z28 because i just like 10s, but wondering if the 1x12 wouldnt make more sense for the amp? not basing that on anything just a general question

For starters, the GIA has TONS of character, and a cool percussive quality that the 12 does not have. The M12 has less coloration, and a more neutral slightly brilliant sound. So that might come into play when selecting speakers for these two models. I think the M12 does deal with pedals better IMO, while the GIA is a little more picky. Over all volume is in the same neighborhood, but with a nod to the M12 cause it holds together better when cranked. Speakers are such a personal thing, I'm sure there would be lot's of over lap between the two...For me I like the Blue for the Gia (classic combo) , and darker sounding speakers for the M12. Just my 2 cents, hope this helps. I think I said early on I thought the M12 was Princeton like....but after living with it for a while now, don't think that at all. They are two different animals.

I totally agree with Frankie here. Go with a darker 12" speaker for the M12. I compared a good half dozen with mine over the course of a couple weeks and, in every comparison, preferred the WGS Blackhawk HP over everything else. I got the Dumble guys all fired up over this speaker too. LOL. It doesn't work as well with some other amps or certain modes of other amps but it's a match made in heaven with the M12 (IMO)!
