Nice! I think it sounds great! Can't wait to hear more! Thanks Mark, you are very kind! I threw those chords together for a buddy who's making a movie, a very dark film and this was for the one chapter that was on the brighter side. Wasn't sure what to play over it. There are a zillion better lines but I feel like a hack and that's getting tiring. This is the basic tune is something like this (cam mic): I feel I'm in a rut, wondering if I should continue on the country course or start something new and probably very overdue like the George Van Eps' harmonic mechanisms course, or even continue with the Ted Greene modern chord progressions book. Probably the country and ted greene, so hard to do both in the time I have :/

you could learn a little of each and combine some technique into both the styles!

you could learn a little of each and combine some technique into both the styles! I keep flip flopping around, but every time I hear a country picker it just sounds so right, is that wrong? damn you country guitar players, ruined a lot of music for me ;D You all ways know when your listening to a country guitar players, specially when they're not playing country. There's always such a sense of purpose. Just love what Johnny says here about jazz (2:43)

The annoying thing is I'm surrounded by jazz fusion guitar players in this town. Try to do the first 4 Sizzling Licks DVDs, once you get past the very first exercise you'll def be well on your way. Play it slow with a metronome or back track, you'll be upto speed in two days. I got a legit copy of Amazing slowdowner, I cannot emphasize how useful it's been, I mostly slow down the practice backtracks, they're the key to getting past his lessons. Best lessons ever!

he is good no question! I have a couple of his DVD's....I can slow down the tracks as well with a program I have...but even slow, I get too frustrated and give up all too easily!
