Well, as much as I love my MAZ jr, Remedy head, I think I love the JCM800 I have's character / style more. Or I should maybe say it "works" better for me so I have an offer for a SRZ-65 LE edition in what looks to be 99% mint. Wish me luck as I need committing into a G.A.S. therapy program!!!! But hey, at 55 years young I think I deserve it too!!!!! chey PS, what can I expect

It was 95% DOA. on arrival. It had no volume and sounded awful, I figured the cross country trip might have rattled a tube , especially the Rectifier Tube. I pulled the Recto Tube and stuck in the same one just used and kept as a back up. It's the Dr Z Sovtek choice. The amp came on full power then . I realized then it needed a DeOxit treatment as the input jack crackled and shorted out. It has been sitting in a store on consignment for a year and I knew it was just something like I described above as these ARE Dr Z amps, right?!!! To be continued.......................

OH NO! I'm really sorry to hear that! I never had any issue with it, and the guy at the store said it was "rockin'" when he tested it out before shipping (I talked to him yesterday). Let me know what happens.

Wow.....WOWOOWOWOWOWOWOWOW! This amp is a Sonic Flamethrower on one hand and Plexi like on another. I placed the NOS Tesla that came in the amp that seemed to be a very high gained tube and sounded thin and harsh with all combinations of other tubes I have tried. The amp arrived with a NOS Tesla in v1, and in V2,v3 had the stock Tung Sol's in it. well I changed the Sovtek Recto tube in it, tried quite a few different tube recipes and then by accident put the NOS Tesla in V3, and two NOS RFT's in v1,and v2 and man O man what tone now!!!! WOW........I have never played an amp like this and dead quite too boot! My Lollar specials loaded kit Strat tuned a whole step down with a 54 on the bottom plugged straight in just absolutely kills. I haven't tried any 'buckers yet. My strat can sound ALOT like Blackmores on Deep Purple Burn album to Trower Bridge of Sighs album, and thats plugged straight in 97% dead quite. Then twist the gain and volume knobs the other way around and get killer Plexi tones from semi clean all the way to raging old school Trower and Travers/Tull/ZZ etcTop/ sounds . It's not Remedy clean but I have a Remedy, I bet the Remedy and the SRZ would kill together!!!! More to follow, wait until I tell yuns 'bout the Airbrake and SRZ!!!!!! WOW YAHOOWEE!!!! ;D

I left out Page, Beck,...........This amp now has a killer Master Volume that works great at both the "meaner" side and the "cleaner" side . It adds the "cream' to the tone a whole lot and thats with the Airbrake all the way down on bedroom and Max. It STILL sounds and feels just like it does at normal full on power.....I know, it's crazy but it iz da truth!! BTW i tried the Gold in a Z Convertible cab and while not being fully broken in yet sounded not too shabby at all!!! (Sweeter n heck) and then I tried it through a closed backed ported front panel Marshall 1933 cab with a Gm-70 which nobody likes and me included but...it's not that bad I ahve heard way worse! To putting in a well broken v30.............the last part is to come, I have to get the slide on crimp on speaker lugs doohickees! SMOOTH N CREAMY and as big n bad as you would need it!! Man, after I learn this amp for a few more days, I'm gonna start seeing what else sounds awesome with it besides my RMC 3, V2 OCD and a Plimsoul, Keeley two knobber,Choral flange,WET reverb,T-Rex Replica .....I have a bunch to go as these are whats on my board at this time........I LOVE this amp!

I'll add that the amp came with a set of GT EL34LS tubes in it that I think are S'pozed to be a USA 6CA7 clone. Man this amp is sweet sweet sweet.........Just might be my favorite to date and that's saying A LOT and dissin' my little '01 MAZ Junior verby 2x10 combo!!!

Yuns havent even scratched the 5th layer from the surface I tell ya, That amp will have you scratching your head I tell ya, Wait til you use some pedals with it.....OMG!!!! , Oh yeah I have some sweet USA 6CA7's when youre Ready, They make the amp SIZZLE, pinch Harmonics with ease, Myself I have settled on KT77's They give the amp more Bottom and actually warm it up and Make it LOUDER, which It does not need ;D, Let me know if you're interested in some NOS 6CA7's . Congrats on such an amazing amp. Now if you only had a Galaxie.................

Well I put the V30 I have into the Marshall 1933 closed backed and front ported cab. It had a G12M-70 Celestion in it originally and the amp sounded actually great even with that particular speaker in it. I love this V30 I have in my 1x12 Z convertible cab open back. Yes ya'll heard that right. well, first impession after putting in the V30? ?? Not too good as of yet, but I have only spent 10 minutes messing with it. I see the G12M-70 has a large dust cap and I'm thinking that the Celestion GT-65 might be the "dog" for me with this amp. I have two WGS GT-65 clones in another cab I do not use that I am gonna try it in the cab tomorrow and see what up. speaks makes a HUGE different in tuning in an amp and the goofy visuals the knobs can play on you.........but in a coupla hours I might be lovin this V30 but then again..........

headshrinker, I think I NEED a Headshrinker!!! yes yes yes I love this amp big time. To think I haven't even scratched the surface of learning this thing and that I have a Remedy I love as well. This makes me think like Benttop and several others do and that't to use two heads with one cab and get one of those Radial Switchbone things and have a clean and dirty and everything else in between sounds at the touch of a switch.....pedals sound xlnt through this thing as well. Like a little spice on top......yep, I love this amp!!! I love that I can dial out any "sizzle" and still have great highs due to the presence knob............
