I am thinking of getting a new cabinet for My Route 66. I have it down to a Z-best or a 4x10. Anybody done a comparison or have these two cabinets with their RT66?

I've had both cabs at the same time, and I preferred the Z-Best with the Route 66 only because the Route 66 has it's own good midrange tone. The 4x10 just pushed that midrange tone over the top for my tastes. The 12s from the Z-Best kept the tonal spectrum more balanced IMHO.
For what it's worth, the Z-4x10 is incredible with the KT-45... and so is the Z-Best.

I cant speak for the 66 But the 4x10 will give the Z Best and several 4x12's a Bigtime run . I accidently stumbled across that amazing 4x10 setup and was hooked . If you are looking for tight punchiness and articulate cleans the 4x10 delivers however I also LOVE the 2x12 i have 2 . The 4x10 sounds great with all of my amps but sounds best with the Galaxie and Stangray ;D you wont be disapointed either way as long as it says "Z" I use 2- Redfangs and a Silver/Blue Weber Alnicos sounds huge I may swap the fangs as they are so so LOUD!

Picking up from troutstrat, i too have both Z best and 4x10 as well. Definitely Z best is my preferred.
My Dr. Z 4x10 sits under a EZG 50, awesome as well.
