Just wondering what everybody's doing for settings, speakers, pedals, etc. Love the Monza but not sure it's a great match with the Gold; I think I liked it better through the not-quite-broken in G12H--will leave the Z-28 paired with the Gold, I think. Thinking the Monza would be stellar through a 2x12 loaded with Greenbacks--anybody tried that? Also a darker, smoother boost might be great with it--the Monza's top end is pretty aggressive and I'd like to see if it's possible to round it off just a tad without getting into tube-swapping.

Hey Flea - I ran mine through a broken in 2x12 with a V30 and a G12H30. Sounded pretty darn good, IMO. I also really like it with the 10" Red Fang (I've got the combo). But it's a completely different feel in that 1x10 studio box than the open back 2x12 I ran it through. For kicks I tried it with my 2x12 with blues - yeah, um, not so much. As for pedals - I only ever use a hint of delay for ambience with it. But that's just because I'm lazy.

I have the 10" RF and love it. Recently I have been using 11-11-11 to get a nice clean sound out of it. Great for finger picking. No, really!

I've tried it through a G12H and it sounded very good. I prefer the RF even though I find the amp dark, though I'll be trying 5751's very soon.
I love 11,11,3 for my base tone when I want some clean from rolling off the volume knob. I'm honestly surprised how clean it gets when the masters cranked.
Like Norrin Rad, I use pretty much either a delay or verb for ambience.
