Yup, thats right! My little red moster made her way to church this week. I was asked to play a second electric guitar part for our set this week and I thought that some nice gain along with my Parker would fill things out nicely. Rehersal was great and Patty (she runs sound when she doesn't play bass) said it sounded great out front and that I had a nice growl that filled up the back ground very nicely. I'm even playing a couple of lead lines and the sustain is really nice. can't wait for Sunday, for more reasons than normal Todd

Todd, I can imagine the fun you had! That Monza is such a cool amp from everything I've heard and I hope to have one someday. I was talking to a sound guy here who runs sound for a church and one of their lead players uses a Monza every week. He said its one of the best sounding amps he's ever mic'd. He said there are a couple of others with Ghia's and they sounded great too but he loved the Monza. Enjoy!

with the MV you can really do so much with the amp now and man does it have a great overdrive!

I have eyed the Monza several times but haven't pulled the trigger yet. I recently tried a Z28 and loved it but I'm an EL84 kind of guy and its so hard not to look into a Monza or a Ghia. But, I'm trying to stick to my guns and branch out. I'm also considering getting a 10" speaker cabinet to further mix things up. Isn't your Monza a 1x10"? Let us know how it's goes Sunday! I'll be rockin' the Maz Sunday as well.

Played mine a American Cancer Society Relay for Life last night. Part of the event was somber and we played some very quiet Church tunes and the Monza's MV took it down perfectly......, then when they started the walk, we rocked it out.... The Monza did it all.....I took my Remedy just in case the Monza didn't have enough snuff (football stadium venue).....I'll never worry about its 20 watts not being enough again...the little dude rocked the place at 3/4 MV....

I had an early Monza combo (#69) and that critter was loud enough to peel paint at fifty yards. I'm looking forward to getting my mitts on a MV model--should ship to Humbucker some time in the next week or two.

^^^^ oh, the waiting . . . . . . it will be cool for sure. My first Monza was pre MV, I had the mod done and loved it, had to sell it to pay some bills but the tax man was good enough to return some cash my way so I was able to reorder a 2012 with the MV on it. I was Monzaless for a while though . . . sure missed it but there is another person out there who is very happy with my old Monza and now I've got one back . . . . . don't you love happy endings?

Yes, very happy with the Monza that you kept in awesome condition and you made it possible for me to own my first Z. I am so happy to hear you got one again. One has to have one of this MONZTER in the tool box. In fact, may be the only tool you may ever need. Church will never be the same PS: and you went for red

I finally took my Monza to church. I hadn't even played it with pedals before so I wasn't sure how it would work out but as I am rhythm guitarist this Sunday with mostly chunky stuff decided to give it a whirl last night at practice. We have the amps in an iso booth off stage with DIs run out to the front. Set the amp up in my 1x10 combo cab with vol and drive at about 11 o'clock, tone at 3 o'clock, and master at noon. Was playing my Taylor Solidbody with mini hums. Got a nice smooth tone and only used a drive pedal for a bit as well as a little delay. What a cool amp.
